Healthy Diet and Great Food

Food and drink with a high fat , sugar and salt content shouldn't be eaten regularly but can be eaten in small amounts. Mix foods from different groups together for variety. We find that in Britain people are eating more calories than ever before and with higher salt, fat and sugar contents whilst they are eating less and less fruit, fiber, vegetables and oily fish. Weekly Meal plans will have the right amount all of these elements. The right weekly meal plan will give you the energy you need and confidence to work out that bit harder.

What is 5 a day ? It is commonly accepted that eating 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day will help to keep your diet balanced and be a great source of minerals and vitamins the body needs. Fruit and Vegetables should account for at least a third of our daily food intake. Scientists have shown that people with a very healthy, balanced, fruit and vegetable rich diet live longer with lower risk of serious illness. Why not try having some fruit with your breakfast and at least 2 types of vegetables with your tea as well as fruit in your pudding and if you fancy a snack then carrot sticks or fresh fruit will tied you over till your next meal.

Protein and it's uses

Protein helps the body repair muscles, bones, skin and blood so when your picking your healthy protein try lean cuts and skinless chicken which will cut down your fat intake. Oily fish is a great source of protein and minerals and whether its fresh or frozen it will still be high in protein. Beans, nuts and pulses will also provide a major source or protein rich food and will add to most meals with great flavors and substance. Plan and prep your weekly and daily meals correctly. Preparation and plan are key to your eat clean diet plan.

Got a weeks worth of meal prep from Little Vee’s and couldn’t have been happier with what I received. This lady can cook! The fish was superb, even after reheating and everything was full of flavour and filling.

Weight Loss Meal Prep

If your looking to lose weight then if you take note of some of the points I have mentioned above you will be on the right track. Weight loss isn't easy but It isn't about starving yourself but just making the right choices for your body. This is the whole concept of eat clean, cheat clean and weekly meal preps and plans. Most people find that restricting their diet works temporarily but doesn't have the long term gains , however meal preparation is key to making it work. There are plenty of amazingly healthy and great tasting dishes available which will make you feel fantastic inside and out.
